Peter Desnoyers is a member of the College of Computer and Information Science at Northeastern University, where his interests include cloud computing, data storage with an emphasis on flash memory, and trying to teach students how operating systems actually work. He is one of the principle instigators behind the Massachusetts Open Cloud, a collaborative effort between Massachusetts universities and industrial partners to establish a multi-vendor open cloud.
He has BS and MS degrees from MIT (1988), a PhD from the University of Massachusetts (2008), and fifteen years of engineering experience at companies ranging from Apple to VMware in between.
